On behalf of the LaBelle Yacht Club Board of Directors; WELCOME!
The LaBelle Yacht Club has been an Oconomowoc institution for over 125 years and enjoys a strong membership of families both on and off the lake. LYC board members work hard to provide many fun activities and social events for both its sailing and non-sailing members. Annual events include the Memorial Day picnic, Corn Roast, Pig Roast, Island Fiesta, Labor Day picnic, the Annual Banquet Awards Dinner, and the Commodore's Ball held in July. Pontoon boat parties, Moonlight Regattas, golf outings and other activities are also scheduled throughout the year.
The LaBelle Yacht Club serves the interests of its racing members with five fleets. The A Fleet, C Fleet, and MC Fleet are for sailors who are over 16, while the X Fleet is for the 16 and under group. There is also an Optimist Fleet for the younger sailors. Series races are held throughout the sailing season. The sailing calendar also appears in the LYC Annual Yearbook, as well as the LYC website. In the interest of continuing the long standing tradition of sailing on Lac LaBelle, the yacht club sponsors a well-planned sailing school program. Information regarding sailing school activities is available upon request.
